Admission takes finances out of the equation.

Wellesley’s admission process is need-blind –it doesn’t consider a family’s ability to pay when making admission decisions. Bright, talented women from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences – that’s what they look for. And that’s what makes the Wellesley community so strong. Please spread the word!

Saturday Interviews start off with a Bang!

Led by Katy Miller '06, the first of two Saturday interviews took place on November 13th with much success. Approximately 24 volunteer alumnae came back to campus to interview nearly 30 prospective students in back to back interviews.

Several alumnae also stayed on to speak with the parents of the interviewees as they waited for their daughters/sisters with great anticipation! As one alum noted, "It's so nice to come back to campus and feel like a part of the college once again." Another alum stated that, "I love reminiscing about my amazing experiences from undergrad."

All in all, it was a wonderfully organized and successful event. The next Saturday interview day will be held on Saturday, December 11th and volunteers may email at interviews@wellesleyboston.org if they are interested in interviewing.

Admitted Student Reception

This year’s Admitted Students’ Reception for the class of 2015 will be held on April 10, 2011. The reception is an opportunity for admitted students and their families to meet local alumnae, and members of the Wellesley admissions staff. In this casual environment, prospective students and their families are able to get a better sense of Wellesley’s culture and to get some exposure to the unbeatable Wellesley alumnae network.

Last year’s event had a great turnout, with several admitted students and alumnae from a wide range of graduating classes in attendance. Four alumnae spoke about their amazing Wellesley experiences, shared some personal stories and answered questions. Past receptions have proven that one-on-one conversations with alumnae about their individual experiences at Wellesley have helped admitted students finalize their decision to join the Wellesley College community. For this reason, we encourage you to join us. All alumnae are welcome to attend. RSVP details are forthcoming. We hope to see you there!

Successful College Fair Attendance

Once again, Wellesley alumnae proudly represented Wellesley College at various college fairs throughout the Boston area. Led by Joy Wu '06, the fairs were a wonderful success with many prospective students in attendance.

The fairs are a great way for college-bound students to ask questions and gain knowledge about the college. It's also been a great experience for the volunteer alums who are able to keep a connection with Wellesley and help the admissions team.
